The True Malaysia · Legal
Terms of Use
Draft — owner and legal review required. This document describes how the website works today and has not been reviewed by qualified counsel. The revision date below is when it was written, not an effective date.
These Terms cover your use of The True Malaysia. They are written in plain language, and they describe this website as it actually works rather than as a template imagines it.
This is a draft for owner and legal review. Several clauses that a finished set of terms would contain — governing law, where a dispute would be heard, and the limits of liability — are deliberately absent, because deciding them is not a drafting exercise. Section 12 says so plainly instead of filling the gap.
1. Who you are dealing with
The True Malaysia is an independent information gateway about Malaysia. It is powered by Erawan, a product of Petrol Solution Co., Limited. Erawan is the name of the underlying platform and is not a separate registered company.
This website is not a Malaysian government service, not an agency or department of any Malaysian authority, and not endorsed by any body named on its pages. Naming an organisation, linking to it or describing what it does is not a claim of any relationship with it.
The contracting entity for these Terms has not been finalised. That is an open item for the owner and for counsel, and it is why this document is a draft.
2. What this website is for
It is an orientation and research tool. It gathers published information about Malaysia's economy, sectors, institutions, trade, tourism, food, culture and practical requirements, and points you to the official source for each one so you can read the requirement where it is actually stated.
That is the whole intent: to help you find the right authority and the right document, faster. It is not a substitute for that authority or that document.
3. Accuracy, and the limits of it
Pages carry the official source a fact came from and the date it was checked, and where something could not be confirmed from a primary source the page says so rather than filling the gap. That is a real editorial discipline, not a disclaimer.
It is also not a guarantee. Rules change between review dates, official pages move, and a figure correct in one published series can differ from the same figure in another. Before you act on anything here — a visa rule, an incentive, a licensing requirement, a fee — confirm it with the responsible authority.
Some pages are marked as in preparation. Those are not finished, say so, and are excluded from search indexing.
4. This is not professional advice
Nothing on this website is legal, immigration, tax, investment, financial, medical or business advice, and reading it creates no professional relationship.
This website cannot submit an application for you, cannot accept a fee, cannot influence a decision by any authority, and cannot promise an outcome. No page here should be read as suggesting that an approval, a licence, a visa, a certification, an incentive or a business result is likely, expedited or assured.
5. The Malaysia Concierge, described accurately
The Malaysia Concierge is a guided search across this website's own published pages. It matches your question against an index of those pages and shows you the ones that look relevant. It runs in your browser.
- It does not generate new text, and it cannot tell you anything that is not already published on this website.
- It does not send your question anywhere. There is no model call, no external service and no query log.
- Its coverage is limited to pages that are finished. It is marked as being in development for that reason, and it will not answer on a topic it has no published page for.
Treat what it returns the same way you would treat the pages themselves: a starting point that names its source, not an authority.
6. What you may do
Read it, search it, print a page, save one for your own reference, and quote a reasonable extract with attribution and a link back. Use it to orient yourself and to find the official source behind a statement.
7. What you may not do
- Scrape, harvest or systematically copy the content, or republish a substantial part of it as your own.
- Present this website, or anything on it, as a government service, an official source, or something endorsed by an authority.
- Misuse the forms — to send unlawful, abusive or deliberately false content, to impersonate someone, or to submit automated or bulk entries.
- Interfere with the website's operation or security, attempt to reach the administrative area, or probe for vulnerabilities without written permission.
- Use the content to mislead someone about a legal, immigration, investment or certification requirement.
8. Accounts
There is no public account on this website. You cannot register, sign in, or hold a profile, and nothing here asks you to. The only sign-in that exists is for administrators working on the website itself.
The Founding Access page is a registration of interest, not an account: it records that you would like to be told about something, and it does not create a login.
9. What you send through a form
The contact, investment enquiry, founding access and partnership forms send what you type to this website's server, where it is stored so that someone can read and answer it. The Privacy Policy sets out exactly what is collected and what happens to it.
Send only what you are entitled to send: do not include someone else's personal details without their knowledge, confidential material you are not free to share, or anything unlawful. Sending an enquiry does not oblige this website to reply, to enter a partnership, or to publish anything.
No licence over your content is claimed here beyond what is needed to read your message and respond to it. A broader licence is not asserted because none is needed, and a page asking you to grant one without reason would not be honest.
10. Content, and who owns what
The editorial writing, structure, data compilations and design of this website belong to its operator. Photographs on these pages are commissioned editorial illustrations rather than documentary photographs of named buildings, institutions or people, and pages that carry them say so.
Organisation names, logos, emblems, marks and official seals belong to the bodies they identify. They appear here, when they appear at all, to identify that body. No claim of ownership, sponsorship or affiliation is made over any of them.
Figures, procedures and requirements quoted from official sources belong to those sources, and each is attributed where it is used.
11. Independence
Nothing on this website is a paid placement. No organisation has paid to be listed, ranked, described favourably, or included in a directory, and no payment would change an editorial judgement.
If that ever changes, any sponsored or commercial placement will be labelled as such where it appears, and this section will be rewritten to describe the arrangement.
12. The clauses this draft does not contain
A finished set of terms would state the governing law, the court or forum for a dispute, the limits of liability, and any indemnity. This draft states none of them, and that is deliberate.
- The contracting entity is not finalised, and liability clauses attach to an entity.
- The hosting location is not settled, and it affects which law can sensibly govern the relationship.
- The reference site these pages were modelled on names Thai courts. Carrying that over for a Malaysia-facing website, without deciding whether it is right, would be a copying error rather than a legal position.
- Consumer-protection rights cannot be contracted away in many jurisdictions, and a cap drafted without advice risks being both unenforceable and misleading.
These are recorded in the internal legal decision register and must be settled by qualified counsel before this document is published as final.
13. Availability and changes
This website is provided as it is. It may be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside anyone's control, and pages are added, rewritten and withdrawn as research progresses. No uninterrupted availability is promised.
These Terms carry a version and a revision date at the top. The revision date is when this draft was written; it is not an effective date, and these Terms take effect when the owner approves them.
14. Contact
Use the contact page to raise anything about these Terms, to report something inaccurate, or to ask about reuse of the content. A dedicated address for legal notices will be published here once one is confirmed; none is listed now, because listing an unverified one would be worse than listing none.

Not yet published here, because none has been confirmed: the data controller and contracting entity, a registered office address, a dedicated privacy contact, a data protection officer, and the production web address. Each is recorded for owner and legal decision rather than filled in with a placeholder.
